Elsie Irene passed away peacefully on January 24, 2016, age 87 years. She is lovingly remembered by her husband of 52 years, Ernst-Wilhelm (Bill) Bobert, her son Donald (Bev Gorden), grandchildren Adam, Gillian and Claire, her sister Jean, brother Gordon, and by her many dear friends and relatives in Saskatchewan. Elsie was predeceased by her two sisters, Helen and Marion. Elsie believed that travel was the best form of education: she and a girlfriend drove Elsie’s car to Mexico City and back in the 1950’s; she and Bill took Donald on a 7 month tenting trip in Europe when he was 4 years old; and in their later years, Elsie and Bill spent months every year travelling the roads of North America in their truck and camper. Elsie was a kind, gentle and patient soul, and she worked as a nurse for over 25 years in Saskatchewan, the Territory of Hawaii, Kitimat B.C. and Vancouver.
