March 12, 1925 - February 7, 2015
We are sad to announce that after a brief illness our dear sweet Mother passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family. Loved by all who knew her, she was predeceased by her husband Douglas in 1972 and her dear friend Chuck. She is survived by her children David (Mary Beth), Linda (Gerry) Humphries, Harold (Leslie); grandchildren Tyler (Gita), Danny (Luc), Nicole (Paul), Christina, Lauren and Kimmy (Stuart); great grandchildren Christian, Alexander, and Darcy. She will be deeply missed by her siblings Grace Leader, Bay Logie, and Robert Logie and many nieces and nephews. Her family and friends brought her great joy all her life. Over the years she was actively involved in curling, golf, volunteering and singing at the Silk Purse, as well as singing in the Silver Harbour Choir and at Hollyburn House. She was an avid sports fan, skilled knitter, and enthusiastic bridge player. We would like to thank the caring staff at Lions Gate Hospital and the North Shore Hospice. A Celebration of Ruth's life will be held on Sunday March 8th at 3:00 pm at West Vancouver United Church, 2062 Esquimalt Avenue. You are invited to make a donation to Lions Gate Hospital or the North Shore Hospice in lieu of flowers.
