Obituary for Eve Day

Eve Day
Eve Day passed away peacefully on December 4th, 2014 at the age of 83. She is lovingly remembered by her son, Peter and his wife Lisa and her grandchildren, Philip, Juliette, Sofia and James.

Eve was born in Berlin, Germany on May 1, 1931 and immigrated to Canada in 1956 where she met her husband Victor Day. The two were married in 1959. Victor passed away in Kelowna in 2006 at the age of 80. Eve then moved to West Vancouver to be close to her family.

Eve will be remembered as a strong, independent woman who was an active traveler and dedicated to volunteer work. She was involved with the West Vancouver Seniors Centre, founded and ran the Eye Deal Club for people with low vision and was an active participant and contributor at her building strata council meetings. She loved to travel, especially to northern countries. Earlier this year she experienced one of her favourite travel memories, walking on a glacier in Alaska with her granddaughter Juliette. She will be missed by many.

Friends and family are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on Sunday, December 14th from 2 to 4pm in the lounge of the West Vancouver United Church at 2062 Esquimalt Ave.
