Macpherson, John Macnicol

John Macpherson of North Vancouver, BC, passed away on Sunday September 21, 2014 as the result of a stroke. His family is deeply saddened by his sudden departure from this life and takes comfort in knowing that he is now with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. John was born in Greenock, Scotland on December 26, 1929. John worked as a draftsman in the shipyards on the River Clyde and in engineering positions in hydraulic power manufacturing in his later career. Despite his work accomplishments, most of all he would want to be remembered for his love for God and love for his family. John was predeceased by his son John and is survived by his wife Catherine (nee Simpson) and four children Anne Innis (Ian), Nicol Macpherson (Fatima), Karen Harris (Graham) and Jan McLean (Sean), ten grandchildren (Katelyn, Andrew, Grant, Ross, Michael, Bryton, Graydon, Skye, Bryce, Blake) and two great-grand children (Sam, Jack).


A private family funeral will take place on Friday September 26, 2014, in West Vancouver. Expressions of sympathy can made through visiting the McKenzie Funeral Services web-site at www.mckenziefuneralservices.com. If desired, donations in memory of John may be made to the charity of you choice.
