She and Joe enjoyed their retirement years traveling. Sometimes it was in their motor home, but often with their youth hosteling friends from the 50s somewhere in Europe or New Zealand. Ingrid, a gourmet chef, with an extensive cookbook collection, was a generous and adventurous cook. Family and friends alike looked forward to dinner invitations to her Horseshoe Bay home.

Ingrid is survived by her husband Joe of 55 years and her three children and two much loved grandchildren Jaime and David. She is also survived by her sister Margaret (Lou). Predeceased by her parents and brother Peter (Doreen). A celebration of life will be held at Gleneagles Golf Course on October 4, 2014 at 2 pm overlooking the apple trees from which she made dozens of jars of applesauce each fall. No flowers by request. Donations may be made to the North Shore Palliative Care Unit. The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses who made Ingrid's transition to her next life comfortable and graceful.
