The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Lily Petticrew can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.

Lilly at a distance

Lilly has been in my life since my brother Munson married Elizabeth over 25 years ago. Since she was so integrated into their daily patterns of life, Lilly was often the voice at the other end of the phone when I'd call from Texas to share news with the McKinney household . From Lilly I would hear about work loads, parties, weather and most especially, the accomplishments of Malcolm and Hannah. She loved them fiercely.  Early in his life I was endlessly entertained by Malcolm who, with little encouragement, would belt out the song "I love my wee Scottish granny" which he learned from Lilly while being wheeled about the neighborhood in his stroller. To be so loved as they all were by Lilly is a great gift- I use the present tense here because this love will influence and bolster them the rest of their lives. Lilly will be missed.
