Condolence From: Beverly Beaumier
Condolence: My deepest and heartfelt condolences to the family. Christine was a sincere friend, colleague and teacher during the short time that I worked with her. Her lovely smile and happy demeanor will be missed.
Christine, I know you are in a better place now, but I just wanted to thank you for everything you've helped me with...both personally and professionally. We all miss you here...

Condolence From: Linda & Allan McDonell, QC
Condolence: We have lived around the corner from Christine and Kevin since they, Lindsay and Katherine moved to their Lions Avenue home. We often caught an early 246 Highland bus downtown. At the bus stop on Highland Boulevard, we often exchanged greetings with a friendly, diminutive lady, who cheerfully joined in our complaints about the weather and bus service.

She was so charming and upbeat that we began to look for her in the mornings and on the return home from downtown. Our friendship blossomed, and we soon met Kevin, as we hosted each other for coffee or lunch or dinner. Whenever we were together, time seemed to evaporate, and we were always astonished at the hours that had elapsed while we solved the world’s problems together.

Proud of her heritage, Christine feasted us with Polish cooking, and she taught us to appreciate good borscht and perogies, among other favourites. With her puckish good humour and finely attuned sense of the ridiculous in human nature, we soon came to love her, thinking of her as a pixie in human form, because of her sparkling personality.

In her last, trying months, we saw another side of Christine, which was perhaps even more admirable. We’re at a stage of life when we have lost other friends, but no one faced the ultimate challenge with more courage and resolve than she did. Christine was a stranger to self-pity, and she seemed more concerned about the effects of her illness on her family than on herself.

So young, so energetic, so loving.

Condolence: Message to Christine on her birthday:
Just to let you know that you are always in my thoughts, and I send you all my love. I'm so lucky to know you. You are a wonderful, classy lady who has enhanced many lives, mine among them. When I pass over to the "other side" I hope to find you there to help me find my way, as you did at BDO (along with your little black book with the keys to my life):-). I know you will be surrounded by love on your birthday. My hugs go out to you now and always.

... and on her passing:
To Kevin, Katherine and Lindsay: Henry and I were so sorry to hear of Christine's illness and loss. She was wonderful to work with and truly became a friend. I will always remember her smile, super-helpfulness and cheery personality. I'm saddened and will miss her greatly. She was so proud of her family! My heart goes out to all of you.
