Obituary for Peter George Sandall

On the afternoon of April 27th Peter passed away peacefully. He was a loving husband for 58 years, proud father and adored Granddad. In 1956 Peter emigrated from England and after a short stay in the Maritimes drove his MG across Canada to the West Coast. It was here he was introduced to his beautiful English bride Avril at a Sports Car Club party. West Vancouver became home and where they raised their family. Over the years Peter volunteered as a corner marshal at Westwood Race Track, the Boy Scouts and as a North Shore Youth Soccer referee. He enjoyed membership with the Capilano Power and Sail Squadron and WV Lawn Bowling Club. Upon retiring from Pacific Press where he worked as a photo engraver for 31 years, Peter and Avril travelled extensively worldwide as well as enjoying their RV and sailboat.

Peter is survived by his wife Avril, his 4 children Neil, Karen Young (Darren), Keith (Jackie) and Colin. Five grandchildren Torin, Mackenzie, Justine, Drew, Jirina and a niece and nephew in England. He was generous, quiet, good-natured and steadfast. He will be greatly missed. No service by request.
