August 24, 1927 – July 3, 2015

With sadness we announce the recent passing of mom.
She left us peacefully in her sleep, early in the morning, July 3, 2015.
Having had a stroke in early 2011, we truly believe what keep her going was watching her granchildren grow… always interested in their activiities, or the color of their nails when they visited (often).
In the end she was still sharp as a tack, loving her daily routine and most specially overlooking the waters of English Bay – watching the cruise ships head up to Alaska, a float plane fly over, or just the waters of the bay.
Mom left behind her two sons, (Robert and William); her granddaughters Ashley and Julia; step-grand daughter Naomi (Thomas), and her boys (great grandchildren) Jordan and Caleb.
Mom also leaves behind her adopted family of the West Vancouver Care Centre – many fond memories live within those walls.
At moms request, there will be no funeral, rather a graveside service will be held on Friday July 10, 2015 commencing at 11am at the North Vancouver Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest alongside her husband Hughie; who departed 27 years prior.
We invite family and friends to pay respects with us this Friday.
Mom also advised, please do not spend money on flowers, money is better spent on the living – grow a tree instead.
