Obituary for Peggy Snook

Snook - Peggy July 7th 1929 - February 12th 2015

It is with great sadness we announce that Peggy passed away peacefully in the company of her daughter and grandchildren following a short illness.

Peggy lived a full and active life. She was an independent lady with a great sense of adventure and fun, this being best illustrated by her decision to emigrate to Canada from England following the death of her husband Reginald in 1987, thus starting the next chapter of her life.

Peggy was affectionately known as “Nanny” and “old Nanny” by her seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The same term of endearment was also used by many many more who knew and loved her, as children and as they entered adulthood.

Our family is devastated by her passing but are drawing strength from the legacy that she has left behind in our hearts and minds.

We will always remember Nanny with love and affection. She will never be forgotten as a part of her is in each and every one of us. By always being there, she not only touched our lives she shaped them.

Friends and neighbours who would like to commemorate Peggy’s passing may donate to the Children’s Hospital of Vancouver, an institution that was always close to her heart.
