Bob passed away peacefully, at home with his wife of 60 years, Elizabeth Devente. Born in Amsterdam, he immigrated to Canada. Bob changed his name from “de Vente” to “Devente” reflecting the self-made man he was. With Betty, he raised 3 children: Diana, Denise and Robert. His many business ventures included undercover narcotic agent, wildcat oil drilling, as well as being the Vice President and Founder of West Coast Securities, Bob was known for his business savvy, his lavish dinner parties and cocktails in The Eagle’s Nest. He is survived by his wife, his 3 children and his 6 grandchildren; Cody, Bo, Duncan, Jordan, Hannah and Tessa.
A Celebration of Life will be held at his home on February 21st at 2 pm. He will fill the house and entertain one last time.
